This velvety spirit provides flavors of raspberry, fresh sawdust, cedar chips, wet charcoal, and anise. It’s crafted with 8-10-year-old Madre Cuishe (Agave Karwinskii) grown at 3,000-6,000 feet of altitude, fermented with wild yeasts, and distilled in small copper pot stills. Rey Campero, meaning ‘King of the Countryside,’ is royalty in the world of Mezcal, their intense dedication to the production of artisanal Mezcal has made them legendary, and they are also well-known for having one of the most productive and diverse agave nurseries in all of Mexico.
